Anna Louise Courington

Mrs. Anna Louise Courington, 83, of Madisonville, KY died at 3:36 A.M. Tuesday, January 3, 2006, at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville. \ Born March 14, 1922 in Hopkins Co., KY she was the daughter of Kirah and Edna Egbert Hancock. \ She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, Thomas X. Filmer and William Curtis Courington, one sister, Mary Winstead and two brothers, Herman Hancock and Kirah Hancock Jr. \ Mrs. Courington was a member of Grapevine Christian Church, the Merry Hearts retirement club and Hopkins County Historical Society. \ Surviving are one daughter, Shelia Eliassen of Madisonville; one son, Charles Curtis Courington of Madisonville; two sisters, Cora Cartwright and Mable Hendrix, both of Madisonville; two brothers, James Hancock of St. Louis, MO and Ruby Harold Hancock of Beulah, KY; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. \ Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Minister Kirk Dice officiating. Burial will be in Grapevine Cemetery. \ Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday and after 9:00 A.M. Thursday. \ Memorials may take the form of donations to Habitat for Humanity or Grapevine Christian Church. \ \
