Anna Moore Kingery

Anna Moore Kingery, 91, of Madisonville, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at Providence Pointe Healthcare in Paducah, KY.

She was born August 22, 1932, in Hopkins County to the late James L. Curneal and Winnie Jones Curneal. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Moore, her second husband, Ernie Kingery; her son, Mike Moore, along with her brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Kingery was a school teacher for many years. She was an example of true Christian love, always serving others before herself. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, being a homemaker and was a wonderful cook. She loved and cherished her children and grandchildren, great grandchildren, and also enjoyed spending time with her step-children and step-grandchildren as well.
She is survived by her daughter, Peggy Harris of Madisonville; four grandchildren, Keri (Rob) Bennett, Lauren (Brock) Jones, Ben (Julie) Harris and Brad (Jessica) Harris; seven great grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Mason officiating. Burial will follow in Hicklin Cemetery.

Visitation will be 11:00 A.M. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Ben Harris, Brad Harris, Rob Bennett, Brock Jones, Jack Bennett, and Brantley Harris.

The family would like to thank Carol Peavler, Connie Burlison, and Lesia Dockery, along with the staff at Providence Pointe for their wonderful care.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Door of Hope or the Christian Food Bank. Envelopes will be made available at the funeral home.
