Betty Polley Combs, 72, of Madisonville passed away Sunday, October 4, 2015 at NHC Healthcare in Madisonville, KY.
Mrs. Combs was born March 19, 1943 in Madisonville to the late Aubrey Polley and Alline Slaton Polley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Paul Combs; one sister, Mary Winchester and two brothers, Keith and Ivan Polley.
Betty was a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church in Madisonville.
She is survived by two children, Shari Lee Copeland of Greenville, SC and Michael Stewart Combs of Orlando, FL; two sisters, Pat Woodward of Nortonville, KY and Alma Lester of Madisonville; three brothers, Paul Polley, Douglas Polley and Jackie Polley all of Madisonville; and three grandchildren, Heather Copeland of Greenville, SC, Lindsey Copeland of Greenville, SC and Brandon (Caitlin) Combs of Pendleton, CA.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Kerry Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday and 9:00 A.M. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be her nephews.
Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
