Betty Holt Traylor

\ Betty Holt Traylor, 80, of Madisonville, KY passed away Friday, August 29, 2014 at Baptist Health Hospital in Madisonville. \ \ She was born January 31, 1934 to the late Melvin Holt and Flora Jordan Holt. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Hillman Traylor; two daughters, Patricia Gentry and Denise Allen; and one granddaughter, Tonya Wiles. \ \ Mrs. Traylor retired as secretary at the Second Baptist Church where she served for many years. \ \ She is survived by one daughter, Linda McDaniel of Madisonville; one son, Terry (Jenny) Traylor of Evansville, IN; one sister, Jean (Cliff) Johnston of Fort Atkinson, WI; one brother, Wayne (Charlotte) Holt of Princeton, KY; three grandchildren, TJ Gentry of Madisonville; Todd Traylor of Haubstadt, IN; and Molly Traylor Ray of Fisherville, KY; three great grandchildren and three step great grandchildren. \ \ Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Finley officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery. \ \ Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home on Tuesday. \ \ Pallbearers will be TJ Gentry, Todd Traylor, Kenneth Allen, Danny Fireline, Bud Ray, Terry Gentry, and honorary pallbearer, Cliff Johnston. \ \ Memorial contributions may be made to the Second Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \ \
