Brenda Knight

Brenda Knight, 63, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 8:00 A.M., Saturday, September 4, 2010 at her residence. Her mother, Mary Elizabeth Wright passed away Saturday shortly after Brenda. \ She was born May 8, 1947 in Madisonville, KY to the late Wendell F. Wright and Mary Elizabeth Utley Wright. She was also preceded in death by her twin sister, Linda Sue Wright. \ Brenda was an interior designer and an avid supporter of the Relay for Life and a NASCAR enthusiast. She currently attended Solid Rock Church but was a member of Pleasantview Missionary Baptist Church. Most of all, she was a loving wife, momma and nannie that will be greatly missed by her family. \ She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Bruce Knight of Madisonville; one daughter, Marci Oldham of Madisonville; three sons, Matt (Carrie) Allen of Madisonville; Ken Knight of Nashville, TN and Jimmy Knight of Madisonville; three sisters, Mary Hinkle and Doris Wright both of Madisonville; Patricia Palmer of Hanson, KY; one brother, Wendell Wright, Jr. of Madisonville; grandchildren, Makenzie and Camden Allen, Shela Krystyna-Craig Sovine and Amber Knight; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. \ Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, September 8, 2010, at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville. \ Visitation will be 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday and 9:00 A.M. until the service time on Wednesday at the funeral home. \ Pallbearers will be Ken Knight, Jimmy Knight, DeWayne Browning, Bill Palmer, Ronnie Pressley and Charlie Norvell. \ Honorary pallbearers will be Donavon Cullen and Leonard Sissom. \ Memorial contributions may take the form of donation to the Womens Triangle Recovery House, Inc. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \
