Brenda Faye Tapp

Brenda Faye Tapp, 72, of Madisonville, KY passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at her residence in Madisonville.
Mrs. Tapp was born October 6, 1943 in Hopkins Co., KY to the late Harley Clendening and Hazel Lynch Clendening. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Eugenia Faye Tapp; a son, Steven Eugene Tapp; one brother, Donnie Clendening; and one sister, Betty Thompson.
Brenda was a member of the Greater Lighthouse Pentecostal Church where she taught Sunday school for many years.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Eugene Tapp; one son, Jeff (Barbie) Tapp of Lexington, KY; one grandson, Mason Tapp of Lexington; three sisters, Sharon Oldham of Madisonville, Jeannie Samples of Princeton, KY, and Sandy Pockey of Madisonville; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 27, 2016 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Ronnie Hendricks and Bro. Robbie Knox officiating. Burial will follow in Grapevine Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Thursday and from 11:00 A.M. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Oldham, Roger Holum, Carrol Tyson, Dan Pullin, Trevor Brown, and Troy Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Ron Harper, Don Harper and Jimmy Gamble.
