Brooke Nicole Phillips

Brooke Nicole Phillips, 18, of Slaughters, KY passed away, Friday, October 27, 2017 in Eastview, KY in Hardin County.
She was born July 1, 1999 in Evansville, IN to Lisa Vandygriff Phillips and the late Wayne Phillips. She was also preceded in death by her grandfather, Coy Vandygriff
She was a member of Providence Rural United Methodist Church. She was a full time student at Murray State University. She loved music, theatre, and Harry Potter. She spent four years in the Madisonville North Hopkins Marching Band and Chorus. Brooke was an actress in Music Man and the Beauty and the Beast and in the orchestra for the Little Mermaid at the Glema Mahr Center. She had a passion for the Carrollton Christian Band, loved Winter Blitz, and loved her brother.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her brother, Brandon Phillips of Slaughters; grandmother, Sarah Prow Vandygriff; grandparents, Bob and Brenda Muehlbauer of Evansville, IN; and great grandmother, JoNell Sullivan of Evansville; her two best friends, Liam Coursey and Luna Johnstone and her entire MNHHS Band Family which she continued to support after going to Murray; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 4 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. J.W. Durst officiating. Burial will follow at West Lawn Cemetery in Hanson.
Visitation will be 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Friday and from 9:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Phillips, Jordan Vandygriff, Levi Vandygriff, Tristin Lile, Grace Vandygriff, and Luna Johnstone. Honorary pallbearers will be Liam Coursey.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Providence Rural United Methodist Church Scholarship Fund or the West Lawn Cemetery Fund. Envelopes will be made available at the funeral home.
