Charles Allen Ellis Obituary (1946 - 2023)

Charles Allen Ellis, 77, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at the Linda White Hospice Center in Evansville, IN. He was born May 16, 1946 in Dyersburg, TN, to the late Charles E. Ellis and Melba K Watkins Ellis. He was also preceded in death by the love of his life Mary Frances Ellis after 57 years of marriage; two sons, Daniel Lynn Ellis and Glen Allen Ellis. He was a member of Grapevine Baptist Church in Madisonville. He had retired from GE after many years service as a Metal Lab Technician. Charles loved working and collecting old clocks as well as camping and spending time with his family. He is survived by grandchildren, Meleigh Ellis of Evansville, Dustin Ellis of Nortonville, KY and Valerie Walls of Arizona; and three great grandchildren, Kaden Wilkerson, Gabriel Walls, and Zeke Walls. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Mayfield officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Grapevine Baptist Church Building Fund.
