Charles William Messamore

Charles William Messamore, 81 of Madisonville, KY passed away Friday, December 11, 2015 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN.
He was born September 28, 1934 in Hopkins County, KY to the late Hubert Messamore and Onie Brown Messamore. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Christine Messamore; and a son, Charles Wayne Messamore.
He was retired from Peabody #1. He was a Kentucky Colonel and a member of the Christian Tabernacle Church.
He is survived by his wife, Jane L. Messamore; four daughters, Carolyn Darrow, Gail Huddleston, Betty Frashure, and Crystal Hodges, all of Madisonville; six step-children, Mary McBride, Arlin Curneal, Nolan Hibbs, David Hibbs, Rachel Maulding, and Randy Curneal; 35 grandchildren, and 33 great-grand children.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, December 14, 2015 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Jr. Tingle officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. on Monday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Orten, Scott Alkire, Dylan Alkire, Donnie McBride, Ben McBride, and Jacob McBride.
