Cordie Moree Nance Obituary (1914 - 2007)

Mrs. Cordie Moree Nance, 92, of Madisonville, KY died at 1:45 A.M. Saturday, July 7, 2007 at the Ridgewood Terrace Nursing Home. \ Born October 12, 1914 in Hopkins County, KY she was the daughter of the late James Louis Simms and Sally Zadie Oakley Simms. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Leamon Nance in 1967 and several brothers and sisters. \ She was a homemaker and the oldest living member of the Concord General Baptist Church in Manitou. \ She is survived by two daughters; Darlene Crabtree of Madisonville and Zadie Ryan of Fairport, NY; four grandsons and four great-grandchildren. \ Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 9, 2007 at the Concord General Baptist Church with Rev. Eddie Fleming and Rev. Curtis Yarbrough officiating. Burial will follow in the Concord Cemetery in Manitou. Pallbearers will be Pat Ryan, Tom Crabtree, Patrick Siria, Daniel Ryan, Richard Ryan and Eric Crabtree. \ Friends may call from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Sunday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home and on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until the services at the church. \ Memorial gifts may take the form of donations to the Concord General Baptist Church Improvement Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \
