Daniel Douglas Williams

Daniel Douglas Williams, 78, of Providence, KY passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at his residence.
He was born June 11, 1943, in Hopkins County to the late David Robert Williams and Francis Imogene Knight Williams. He was also preceded in death by his son, David Robert Williams; his daughter, Cynthia Todd; four sisters and four brothers.
Daniel was a Coal Miner for Pyro Coal. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Hertra Poe Williams; his daughters, Melinda (Donnie) Wilson of Providence and Sondra (Rodney) Hardymon of Providence; his sister, Francis (Russell) Clayton of Madisonville, KY; his brother, James (Linda) Williams of Evansville, IN; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 25, 2021, at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home - Providence Chapel with Bro. Robert Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Green Grove Cemetery in Providence.
Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Roger Morseman, Donald Wilson, Russell Clayton, Tommy Phillips, Sondra Hardymon, and Nathan Hardymon. Honorary pallbearers will be Mellisa Parker, Chastity Robertson, Mary Hardymon, and Samantha Wilson.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Veteran's Center Activity Fund.
