Douglas "Doug" Polley

Douglas "Doug" Polley, 71 of Madisonville, KY passed away, Saturday, May 25, 2019 at the Linda E. White Hospice Center in Evansville, IN.
He was born February 15, 1948 in Madisonville to the late Aubrey Polley and Alline Slaton Polley. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Winchester and Betty Combs; and three brothers, Jackie Polley, Keith Polley, and Ivan Polley.
He was a Sergeant in the US Army in Vietnam and a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church where he served in various roles throughout the years. He was a renowned antique collector, carpenter and loved woodworking. He was an avid reader and enjoyed restoring old furniture.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jan Melton Polley of Madisonville; one daughter, Jannelle (T.J.) Reed and granddaughter, Rowan Reed of Indianapolis, IN; two sisters, Pat Woodward of Nortonville, KY and Alma Lester of Madisonville; and one brother, Paul (Sally) Polley of Madisonville.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Pleasant View Baptist Church 2635 Richland Manitou Rd. Madisonville, KY with Bro. Jared Leet officiating.
Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until service time at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gideon's International. Envelopes will be available at the church.
