Edna Olive Lochridge

Edna Olive Lochridge, 100, years old, of Madisonville, Kentucky, passed away on December 7, 2023 at Ridgewood Terrace Health and Rehabilitation Center in Madisonville.

She was born on October 26, 1923, in London, England, to the late Sydney George Page and Anne Elizabeth Smith Page. Edna came to the United States in 1945 and married a Veteran of WW11, Wallace Lochridge. Edna worked for the Hopkins County Mental Health Center and retired in 1985. She was an active volunteer at the Glema Mahr Center for the Arts. She loved her church and church family at the St. Mary's Episcopal Church. She was a long time faithful member and volunteer. She enjoyed being Altar Guild chairman and knitting prayer blankets for the sick. Edna loved to read and listen to classical music.

In addition to her parents, Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Lochridge, her sisters, Doris Moss and Violet Stevens and her brother, Stan Page.

Surviving Edna are her daughter, Sherri Allinder, and her son-in-law, Joe Allinder of Dallas, Texas. She had two surviving grandchildren. Her grandson, Ashley Allinder, lives in Tulsa Oklahoma and her granddaughter, Haley Stout lives in Frisco, Texas. Edna had four great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at Barnett Strother Funeral Home from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Monday, December 11. On Tuesday morning, December 12, at 10:00 AM, a funeral service will be held at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, with the Reverend Dr. Beth Mache officiating. A reception will be held at St, Mary's after a graveside service at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Madisonville.
