Ellen Aileen Gatlin

Mrs. Aileen Gatlin, 88, of Madisonville, KY died at 2:15 P.M. Tuesday, September 12, 2006, at Ridgewood Terrace Nursing Home in Madisonville. \ Born February 17, 1918 in Hopkins County, KY she was the daughter of the late Johnny Jackson Phaup and Nora Lee Welch Phaup. \ She was a homemaker and a member of the Second Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for several years. And she formerly taught Sunday School at Grapevine Baptist Church. \ She is survived by her husband, Eucelous Gatlin of Madisonville and several nieces and nephews. \ Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, Sept. 15, 2006 at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Roy D. Finley and Rev. J.D. Holt officiating. Burial will follow in the Grapevine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Galen Gatlin, Matt McKenzie, Wendell Gatlin, Eric Gatlin, Ricky Hook and Ben Mason. \ Friends may call from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday and on Friday after 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home. \ Memorials may take the form of donations to the Second Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \
