Eric Michael Jacobs

Eric Michael Jacobs, 34, tragically passed away on Monday, May 20th. To know Eric was to love him. His kindness, gentleness and often goofy spirit could lift any mood.

Eric was a hard working man and excellent provider. He loved the outdoors - especially hunting, improving land/natural wildlife habitat and camping with his family. Eric was a graduate and supporter of trade school. Eric could fix just about anything and loved teaching his son, Anderson, about simple mechanics.

He leaves behind his childhood sweetheart and wife of 13 years, Hannah Jacobs, a 3 year old son, Anderson Jacobs, his father, Michael Jacobs, mother Tammy Jacobs, sister Katie (Matt) Ward, grandfather Morris Kyle, numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and 4 beautiful nieces.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Glenda Sue Kyle and paternal grandparents Eullas and Betty Jacobs.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday May 24, 2024 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Dr. Tom Branson and Eric Gobin officiating. Burial will follow at Concord Church Cemetery in Manitou.

Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until the service time Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Jacobs, Bryan Jacobs, Zeb Sauer, Johnnie Stewart, Jonathon Ritchey, Pete Pacleb, Jimmy Browning, and Will Scott.

In lieu of flowers, the family has decided to start a scholarship fund in Eric's honor for students at Webster County Trade school who plan to further their education in trade related fields.
