Eric Matthew Tolbert Obituary (2004 - 2009)

Mr. Eric Matthew Tolbert, 4, of Benton, KY, returned home to his heavenly father on June 5, 2009 at 4:07 P.M. Eric past of complications stemming from treating his Burkitts Lymphoma. He was diagnosed with cancer in December of 2008. \ He fought an unbelievable battle until it was time for our angel to go home. \ He was born June 12, 2004 in Mayfield, KY. \ He was preceded in death by one uncle, Jeremy Tolbert and five great-grandparents. \ He is survived by his father, Matthew Tolbert of Madisonville; his mother, Kristina Gregory (Tom) Walton of Archer, FL; one brother, Ethan Gregory Tolbert of Archer; grandparents, Earl and Diane Gregory of Benton, KY, Gail and Renegade Stafford of Benton, and Michael Tolbert of Benton; great-grandparents, Clarence and Cora Uzzle of Calvert City, KY and Kelly Allen of Benton; one aunt, Angie Gregory of CA; and one uncle, Mark Tolbert of Paducah, KY. \ Funeral services will be held at 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 9th at the Benton Church of Christ in Benton with Pastor Gary Knuckles and Pastor Michael Knight officiating. Committal services will follow at Hamlet Cemetery with Bro. Dewayne Holland officiating. \ Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. until the service time Tuesday at Benton Church of Christ. \ In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to CFSB in C/O The Eric Tolbert memorial fund to benefit children with cancer at P.O. Box 467 Benton, KY 42025. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \
