Ernestine Blanchard

Ernestine Blanchard, 88, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away, Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Ridgewood Terrace Nursing Home in Madisonville, KY.
She was born December 12, 1929 in Oceana, WV to the late Hollie Toler and Edith Osborne Toler. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Aubrey Blanchard; one daughter, Diane Dickerson; one granddaughter, Holly McGuyer; and three brothers, Alvin Toler, Paul Jack Toler, and Jefferson Toler.
Ernestine was a member of Pleasant Union General Baptist Church in Beulah. She retired from York and Wal-Mart.
She is survived by two daughters, Rita McGuyer of Madisonville and Darleen (Gary) Jones of Beulah, KY; two sons, Tim (Juanita) Blanchard of Nebo, KY and Tommy (Bonnie) Blanchard of Beulah; two sisters, Greynell Shinn of Jacksonville, FL and Yvonne Lovenshimer of Florence, KY; three brothers, Dickie Toler of Beckley, WV, Kermit Toler of Beckley, and Hollie Toler, Jr. of Oceana; five grandchildren, Tammy (Tim) Cummins, Matthew (Rian) McGuyer, Adam (Rachel) Jones, JT Blanchard, and Sarah Blanchard; nine great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Pastor Barry Cullen and Rev. Eugene Pillow officiating. Burial will follow in Beulah Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday and from 11:00 A.M. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Matthew McGuyer, Adam Jones, J.T. Blanchard, Tyler Honeycutt, Dylan Honeycutt, Josh Muhlethaler, and Jacob Muhlethaler. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Stewart and Tim Cummins.
