Evelyn Sisk

Evelyn Joyce Hopper Sisk, 92, of Madisonville, KY, passed away to her heavenly home on Friday January 16, 2026.
She was born on November 22, 1933, in Union County, KY to the late Flaudy and Thelma Hopper. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Sisk; son, Jeffrey Knight; and brothers, Jerry and Charles Hopper.
She was a member of Park Avenue Baptist Church, where she was known to many as Mrs. Joyce. She had a love for children’s ministry where she served for many years. She also loved singing in the choir and playing the piano and organ.
Mrs. Joyce was a sweet lady who was strong-willed and strong-minded. She loved her family and was very protective of her sons, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchild.
She is survived by her two sons, Terry Knight of Florida and Tracy (Debbie) Knight of Illinois; sister, Marilyn Shanks of Florida; grandsons, Matthew (Joanna) Knight, Wesley (Jen) Knight, and Kyle Knight; granddaughters, Kelly Knight and Tiffany Knight; great grandchildren, Parkker, Kallan, Ava, Luke, Benjamin, Nolyn, Addy, and Layla; great great grandson, Skyye; three step-grandchildren; nine step-great grandchildren; along with special friends, Marty and Donna Vincent and Len and Mary Beth Young.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Len Young officiating. Burial will take place at Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the service time Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Parkker Collins, Wes Knight, Kyle Knight, Kallan Knight, David Hopper, and Tate Young; Honorary pallbearer will be Marty Vincent.
