Gary Wayne Cope

Mr. Gary Wayne Cope, 40, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 12:55 P.M., Friday, March 19, 2010 at Select Specialty Hospital in Nashville, TN. \ He was born January 12, 1970 in Madisonville, KY to Gay Lois Downey McDonald of Princeton, KY and the late Bobby Wayne Cope. He was also preceded in death by his grandfather, Owsley Downey; grand parents, Arthur and Lucile Cope and four uncles. \ Mr. Cope worked in the state garage for the state transportation department. He was a member of the Western Kentucky Outdoors and enjoyed hunting and the outdoors. \ He is survived by his wife, Tyna Cole Cope of Madisonville; one step son, Lucas Cole of Dawson Springs, KY; his grandmother, Mary Lou Downey of Madisonville; two step sisters, Denise McDonald of Owensboro, KY and Karen McDonald of Princeton, KY; one step brother, Ricky McDonald of Owensboro, KY; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces. \ Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Gaddis officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. \ Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Monday and after noon on Tuesday at the funeral home. \ \ \
