Georgia Ruth Stevens

rs. Ruth Stevens, 87, of Madisonville, KY, died at 12:05 P.M. Wednesday, October 8, 2003, at NHC Healthcare in Madisonville. \ Born February 22, 1916 in Webster Co. KY she was the daughter of the late Roscoe Gibson and Lucille Son Gibson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John William Stevens in September , 1974; one son, Johnny Wayne Stevens; five brothers, one sister and two granddaughters. \ Mrs. Stevens was a homemaker and mother. She was a member of the Hopewell General Baptist Church in Madisonville. \ She is survived by four daughters; Patricia Rhoades of Booneville, In, Betty Baum of Winter Garden, FL, Kay Barnett of Henderson, KY and Sharon Bryan of Indianapolis, IN; one son, Ritchie Stevens of Madisonville; eleven grandchildren; several great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. \ Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 11, 2003 at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Baum officiating. Burial will follow in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville. Pallbearers will be Bryan Baum, Mike Barnett, Willy Barnett, Greg Stevens, Krista Stevens, Brandi Stevens and Steve Jones.
