Hazel Brunette Rickard

Mrs. Hazel Brunette Rickard, 89, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 8:40 A.M., Friday, February 20, 2009 at Brighton Cornerstone Healthcare in Madisonville. \ She was born November 20, 1919 in Hopkins County to Charlie Lee King and Ida Bell Higgins King. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Gail Rickard Jarboe and one sister, Mrs. Jean Threlkeld. \ Mrs. Rickard was a member of Second Baptist Church in Madisonville. \ She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Benjamin Elwood Rickard of Madisonville; one sister, Mrs. Elsie Brinkley of Madisonville; care takers, Marc and Cyndi Boggs of Madisonville; a son-in-law James Jarboe and daughter-in-law, Betty Jarboe, both of Falls of Rough, KY; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, as well as, several great nieces and nephews. \ Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday February 22, 2009, at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home officiated by Bro. J.D. Holt. Burial will follow in Slaughters Cemetery in Slaughters, KY. \ Friends may call on Saturday February 21, 2009 from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and after 12:00 noon until service time on Sunday at the funeral home. \ Pallbearers will be Dickie Cates, Darrell Bryant, Anthony Wilson, Taylor Boggs, Jeff Griffey, and Clarence Berry. \ Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to the Second Baptist Church of Madisonville, KY. Envelopes will be available at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home. \
