Helen W Davis

Helen Davis, 82, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, July 19 at her home in Hendersonville, TN. A lifelong resident of Madisonville until 2012, she was born December 18, 1932, and was preceded in death by her father Virgil Villines, mother Onie Mock Villines O'Leary and step-father Martin O'Leary, husband of 44 years Carl E. Davis, son Stephen D. Davis, sister Wilma Villines, and brother James Villines.
Following graduation from Madisonville High School in 1951, she worked in the office of Rudd Insurance until around 1960. She was a devoted wife and mother to her three sons and a member of Grapevine Baptist Church since September 12, 1953, where she was active in choir. Her church and her family were the center and joy of her life.
Helen is survived by sons Carl (Sherry) A. Davis of Hendersonville, TN and Michael L. Davis (Dawn Pettitt) of Newburgh, IN, grandchildren Chris (Amanda) Davis, Matthew Davis, Nicole Davis and Hannah Davis, and great-grandchildren Cora and Malikhi.
Visitation will be held at Barnett Strother Funeral Home on July 22, 2015 from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M., with funeral services to follow at 2:00 P.M., with Rev. Bill Egbert officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Grapevine Baptist Church of Madisonville, KY.
