Jack Lykins

Mr. Jack Lykins, 79 of Manitou, KY passed away at 5:20 P.M. Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at his residence. \ He was born April 16, 1929, in Salyersville, KY to the late Darlie Raymond and Grace Howard Lykins. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Jay Lykins, Howard Lykins and Willard Lykins. \ Mr. Lykins worked for Ashland Oil for 45 Years. \ He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Lykins of Manitou; two daughters, Jackie (Rick) Whitledge of Madisonville and Janice (John) Calhoun of Hanson; two sons, Gary (Karen) Lykins of Millington, TN and Greg (Cheryl) Lykins of Hanson; four sisters, Betty Reynolds of Henderson, KY, Virginia McCulley of Robards, KY, Arlene Griggs of Henderson and Brenda Margelot of Sebree, KY; one brother Raymond Lykins of Jacksonville, FL; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. \ Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 3, 2009, at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Lutz officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson. \ Friends may call on Friday from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. and on Saturday from Noon until the service time at the funeral home. \ Pallbearers will be Erik Peyton, Dean McCulley, Monte Reynolds, Tracy Lykins, Ernie Margelot and Geoffrey Teague. \ Memorial donations may be made to Green River Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \
