James E. Offutt Obituary (1937 - 2023)

James E. Offutt, 85, of Madisonville, KY, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Ridgewood Terrace Nursing Home in Madisonville. He was born March 30, 1937 in Millstone, KY to the late John William Offutt and Lelia Patterson Offutt. He was also preceded in death by his wife Shirley Ann Epley Offutt, a sister, Carolyn Offutt Sadler and a brother, William Offutt Jr. James was a US Marine veteran, a welder for Bethlehem Steel in Burns Harbor, IN; he enjoyed gardening, fishing and watching the UK Wildcats. He was a devoted husband and father. He is survived by a daughter, Jamie Offutt of Westfield, IN; a sister, Jenny Villines of Madisonville and a brother, Hugh Wayne Offutt of Madisonville. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
