James Allen Rodgers Sr. Obituary (1951

James Allen Rodgers, Sr., 71, of Madisonville, KY, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2022, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville. He was born August 17, 1951, in Gary, IN, to the late Elitie Blair Rodgers Jr. and Betty Jewel Williams Rodgers; and one brother, Frank T. Rodgers James was a Conductor for J&E Railroad, he was an Extra Class Ham Operator, and loved animals, especially dogs. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Maria Dejesus Naranjo Rodgers of Madisonville, a daughter, Lisa Burton of St. Pete, Fl and a step-daughter, Katrina George of Alexandria, VA; a son, James "Jimmy" Rodgers Jr. of Hobart, IN; and two step-sons, Tony Aichner of, FL and Brian Keith Naranjo of Valparaiso, IN; six grandchildren, Taylor, Kenneth, and Lacey McKay and Tyler, Tristen and Alexa Rodgers; and two loving nephews, Devin Rodgers and Allen Rodgers of Madisonville. Services for the family were handled by Barnett-Strother Funeral Home.
