Manitou, Kentucky
Jodi Lynn Blair, age 66, of Manitou, Kentucky, passed away in the early morning hours of May 31st, 2025, at Linda White Hospice House in Evansville, Indiana. Born on July 22, 1958, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of (the late) Barbara (Burchardt) and Ted Hansen. She was a beloved stepdaughter to Linda Hansen. Jodi was a cherished sister to Bonnie (husband, Greg) Kistler and Teri Perkins, and a loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews.
Jodi married Doug Blair in 1982, and together they built a life centered on family. She was a devoted mother to her two daughters, Mallory (husband, Kyle) Clapsaddle and Leeanna (husband, Matthew) Hutzel, and a proud grandmother to Jooniper and Theodore Clapsaddle, who were the lights of her life. Her greatest joy was her family, and she adored every moment spent with them.
A true nurturer, Jodi was a prolific gardener who found peace and purpose in the rhythm of the seasons and the beauty of country living. She loved soaking up the sun by her pool, taking unforgettable girls’ trips to the beach with her best friend Susie Mertz, and creating a warm and welcoming home for her family to enjoy. Though she was raised in the North and moved often in her formative years, Jodi found her heart’s home in Madisonville, KY, where she attended college and lived her entire adult life, retiring from Alliance Coal in 2020.
Her kindness, lighthearted nature, and quiet strength touched everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Jodi’s memory to a charity or cause that honors her love of family or nature.
