John Robert Dugger

Mr. John Robert Dugger, 81, of Madisonville, KY, died at 2:15 P.M., Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at Regional Medical Center. \ He was born April 27, 1930 in Pulaski, TN, to the late Sidney Dugger and Lucy Witherow Dugger, and preceded in death by three brothers. \ He was a retired Kentucky state trooper of Post 2, Nortonville, KY., where he was KSP Trooper of the year in 1970 and cited for meritorious service in the line of duty. He was a Commonwealth detective, an avid woodworker, and a member of Earlington First Christian Church, where he served as a Deacon. He was also a Navy veteran of the Korean War and held the Korean Service Award and the United Nations Service Medal. \ He is survived by his wife, Linda Helm Dugger, three sons, Perry (Alaina) Dugger, Scott (Becky) Dugger, and Johnny (Ursula) Dugger, and two grandchildren, Cole Alexander Dugger and Joshua Scott Dugger. \ Visitation will be at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home Friday July 15, 2011 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM and after 10:00AM until Service on Saturday at First Christian Church, Earlington. Funeral Services will be held at the First Christian Church in Earlington on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at 11:00AM with Donnie Carroll officiating. \
