Joyce Helen Oglesby

Joyce Helen Oglesby, 84, of Madisonville passed away Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Baptist Health.
Mrs. Oglesby was born May 24, 1932 in St. Charles, KY to the late George Smith and Cora Mae Carroll Smith. She was also preceded in death by her husband, A.C. Oglesby; one sister; and five brothers.
She was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Madisonville. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking for church dinners. She was a wonderful mom, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She is survived by two daughters, Candice (Jeff) Cornelius of Lewisburg, KY and Vicki (Gary) Travis of Madisonville; one son, Shawn (Gayla) Oglesby of Owensboro, KY; six grandchildren, Kyle Talley, Chris (Stephanie) Travis, Andrea (Greg) Inglis, Erik Oglesby, Myra Oglesby, and Noah Oglesby; and three great grandchildren, Jacob Travis, Mallory Travis, and Ross Inglis.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Harry Baldwin and Rev. Jerry Simpson officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Saturday and from 12:00 P.M. until service time Sunday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Talley, Erik Oglesby, Chris Travis, Greg Inglis, George Brooks, and Brad Tucker.
Memorial contributions can be made to First General Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
