Joyce Jean Wilson

Joyce Jean Wilson, age 74, wife of Dr. Harry Wilson the Pastor of Life Christian Center, passed away in her Madisonville home January 21st after succumbing to cancer. Shed been the office manager at the Life Christian Center Daycare Plus, where she was known for her love of the children, up until the time of her death. \ The daughter of Homer C. Reeves & Lillian Hemby, and sister to Phyllis, she was born in Wappapello, MO. Shed been a resident of Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, and Missouri before coming to Kentucky in 2000 with her surviving husband of 57 years, Rev. Harry Wilson. \ In her lifetime, shed been an office manager for several law firms and at the National Home Corps, owned a Private Detective Agency and operated her own court reporter business in Lafayette, IN. Before moving to Madisonville, she was the office manager in Joplin, Mo for the National Home Missions Office of Denominational Headquarters of the Pentecostal Church of God. She and her husband were well known for their charity and church work. \ She is survived by two sons, Chester and Charles Wilson, a daughter-in-law Jan Wilson, one foster daughter Brenda Vance, and four grandchildren; Margaret Wilson, Keith Wilson, Micaela Wilson, and Davis Wilson. \ Viewing is Friday evening between 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Life Christian Center, 721 Princeton Ave., Madisonville. Funeral Services will be 10:00 A.M. at Life Christian Center in Madisonville. In lieu of flowers, the family is taking donations for the Joyce Wilson Memorial Chapel in the Luzon, Philippines.
