Rex Martin

Rex Martin, 71, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Tuesday June 14, 2016 at his residence.
Mr. Martin was born April 29, 1945 in Earlington, KY to the late Hugh Patterson and Ruth Brooks Patterson.
Mr. Martin attended UK and WKU where he was a member of the ATO Fraternity. He retired from KU after 31 years, was an avid golfer with a membership at Madisonville Community Golf Course and like UK basketball.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years Debbie Martin of Madisonville; one daughter, Susan Ann (Jud) Cartwright of Madisonville; one sister, Cheri Loftis of Madisonville; 3 nieces, Lori Jo Loftis, Lynn Ann Rodgers and April Houston; one nephew, Josh Nance and several cousins.
Memorial Services will be held on Thursday June 16, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with the Rev. George Brooks officiating.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM Thursday June 16, 2016 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society or Baptist Health Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
