Lanna Scott

Mrs. Lanna Scott, 93 of Morganfield, KY and formerly of Madisonville, Ky died 11:45 P.M. Friday, June 18, 2004 the Union County Methodist Extended Care Facility in Morganfield, KY. \ Born April 30, 1911 in Hopkins County, KY she was the daughter of the late James Edmond Slaton and Amelia Denton Slaton. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Townes B.T. Scott on January 30, 1981; one son, Bobby Scott in 1996; one sister, Nora Lee Anderson and one brother, Albert Slaton. \ Mrs. Scott was a homemaker. She was a member of the Park Ave. Baptist Church in Madisonville and a former member of Liberty Baptist Church. She was a former Gray Lady at the Hopkins County Hospital and loved crafting and quilting. \ She is survived by one daughter, Jo Evelyn Brown of Henderson, NV; one son, Jim Scott of Morganfield, KY; two brothers, John Slaton and Joe Slaton, both of Madisonville; one sister, Evelyn Slaton of Providence, KY; thirteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. \ Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Pastor Tondra Daugherty officiating. Burial will follow in the Browder Cemetery. \ Friends may call from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Monday and on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until the service. \ \
