Linda S. Polley

Linda Parish Polley, 77, of Madisonville, KY passed away Sunday, April 10, 2016 at 10:45 P.M. at Brighton Cornerstone Nursing Home.
Mrs. Polley was born August 16, 1938 to the late Jim and Eva Oakley Parish. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Austin Finley Polley, in January 2015, and one brother, Luther Parish, in November 1998.
She was a member of Grace Baptist Church where she taught school for several years. She also taught school at Baptist Temple. She also worked at Regional Medical Center in transcription for many years.
She is survived by two sons, Denny (Ruriko) Polley of Madisonville and Jeff (Shannon) Polley of Madisonville; seven grandchildren, Jenna (Corrie) Polley of Madisonville, Megan (Josh) Stevens of Dawson Springs, KY, Josh Sims of Seattle, WA, Skylar Osborne of Seattle, Megan Sims of Madisonville, Douglas Polley of Hendersonville, TN and Justin (April) Polley of Madisonville; and great grandchildren, Keegan Polley of Madisonville, Gunnar Stevens of Dawson Springs, Jaylynn Vincent of Madisonville; Koralyn Polley of Madisonville, Toby Stevens of Dixon, and Saniya Reynolds of Madisonville; four brothers, J.T. (Noretta) Parish of Benton, KY, Leonard (Lois) Parish of Madisonville, James (Mary) Parish of Manitou, and Carrol (Debbie) Parish of Louisville, KY; two sisters, Dorothy (Daniel) Daves of Madisonville, KY and Lois (Bob) Cantrell of Mayfield, KY; one brother-in-law, Ray Polley of Dalton, KY; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 15, 2016 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Lawrence Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Burton Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Douglas Polley, Justin Polley, Josh Stevens, Doy Polley, Brent Polley, and Steven Ruby.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Grace Baptist Missionary Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
