Linda Dean Patterson Todd

Linda Dean Patterson Todd, 67, of Madisonville, KY passed away Sunday, November 20, 2016 at her residence.
Mrs. Todd was born March 25, 1949 in Detroit, MI to the late Clyde Patterson and Mary Magdalene Rice Patterson.
Linda was always a people person. In her early married life, in addition to being a wife and mother, she had various jobs. She was manager at the Mortons Gap Truck Stop in the 1970's, and she drove a school bus.
Linda spent several years serving the public. Starting as a county dispatcher, through the years, she served as a deputy in the Hopkins County Sheriff Department for 28 years, serving under four different sheriffs.
After retiring from the sheriff's office, Linda chose to run for magistrate in her district and was elected.
Linda was a faithful and founding member of Praise Temple Apostolic Church. She loved the Lord and never wavered in her faith.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Darrel R. Todd; two sons, Mike (Cindy) Todd of Dawson Springs, KY and Kenneth (Pam) Todd of Madisonville; two sisters, Marlene (Jim) Moreland of Hanson, KY and Cyndi (Donnie) Wood of Madisonville; three brothers, Gary (Alice) Patterson, Ellis Patterson, and Jeff Patterson, all of Madisonville; three grandchildren, Tyler, Sarah, and Carmon Todd; along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Philip Cook, Bro. Danny Lutz, and Bro. Richard Sisk officiating.
Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Youth Department at Praise Temple Church. Envelopes will be made available at the funeral home.
