Margaret E. Stokes

Margaret E. Stokes, 86, or Rosiclare, IL. passed away at 9:00 P.M. September 7, 2011 at Ridgewood Terrace, Madisonville, KY. She was born February 26, 1925, in Dubois, Pennsylvania to William C. and Mary Alice Freeland. She was raised in Battlecreek, MI. by her Uncle Vance and Aunt Vera Shoebert. She worked at Sears in Kankakee, IL for ten years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, William W. Stokes, Sr.; her companion for 23 years, Kenneth F. Styck; and one brother, Bob Freeland, of California. \ She is survived by five children, Penny Lee Conn and Candy (Bob) Ann Davis of Elizabethtown, IL.; Warrena (Larry) Jeane Barnerd of Slaughters, KY.; Janis (Richard) C. Reed of Carterville, IL.; and William (Marita) W. Stokes Jr., of Kankakee, IL.; thirteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, retired Airforce Colonel, John Freeland, of Mercersburg, PA., and retired Los Angeles policeman, Bill Freeland, of McMinnville, Oregon. \ At her request, there will be no memorial service. Memorial contributions may be made to Hardin County Hospital Auxillary, Rosiclare, IL. \
