Marvin E. Davis

Mr. Marvin E. Davis, 75, of Madisonville, KY died at 7:25 A.M. Monday, April 4, 2005 at the Regional Medical Center. \ Born August 12, 1929 in Hopkins Co., KY he was the son of the late Muncie and Lena Davis. \ He was a retired coal miner for Amax Coal Co. and a member of the Liberty Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army WW II veteran and a member of the American Legion Post #6. \ He is survived by his wife, Sue Davis of Madisonville; two daughters, Linda Sue Rogers of Lahaina, HI and Debbie Ray of Madisonville; one son, Gary Davis of Beckley, WV; one sister, Nevalene Brown of Madisonville; one brother, Raymond Davis of Richland, KY; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. \ Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, April 7, 2005 at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Monroe Slaton officiating. Burial will follow in the Odd Fellows Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews. \ Friends may call from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday and on Thursday after 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. \ \
