Mary C. Anderson, 84, of Madisonville, KY, passed away Thursday, May 08, 2014 at Baptist Health in Madisonville. \ \ She was born August 28, 1929 in Wheatcroft, KY to the late Charles Aubrey 'Doxie' Hinton and Verna Mae Parker Hinton. She was also preceded in death by an infant sister. \ \ Mrs. Anderson was a member of the First Baptist Church of Madisonville. She was very strong in her Christian faith, witness and was a woman of prayer as she walked with her Savior and led her family by example of being God's hands and feet here on earth. She was a devoted wife of 65 years, a mother, grandmother, great grandmother and touched many lives. \ \ She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Robert 'Bob' Anderson of Madisonville; one daughter, Terry (Tandy) Allen of LaGrange, KY; one son, Brian (Sheila) Anderson of Madisonville; a sister, Ruby Hinton of Madisonville; a brother and sister in law, Donald (Henrietta) Anderson of Madisonville; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Wallace, Kimberly (Rodney) Duncan, Rebecca (Joshua) Dean, Candice Offutt, April (Brandon) Mallory, David (Robin) Allen and Brittany Anderson; six great grandchildren, Megan, Shelby, Gracie, Grayson, Crawford and Cori. \ \ Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Dr. Joe Leonard and Bro. Danny Green officiating. Burial will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery. \ \ Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday and after 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home. \ \ Memorial donations may by made to her childhood church, New Harmony Baptist Church in Wheatcroft, Church Street General Baptist Church, PO Box 293 Breman, KY or the First Baptist Church of Madisonville. \ \
