Mary \Judy\"" Bruce

Mary (JUDY) Bruce, born August 8, 1928, went to be with her Lord on April 2, 2010 at the age of 81. \ Mrs. Bruce was preceded in death by her parents Ray and Irene [Furgerson] Winstead of Nebo, KY; her precious husband of 54 years, Clifford Bruce, in 2005; two brothers, Samuel and Johnny Winstead of Madisonville, KY; one sister, Martha Fleming of Tampa, FL \ Judy taught handicapped children in the early sixties though a parents organization. Later she taught 16 years at the Progress Center in the Pennyroyal Mental Health Clinic working with preschoolers with learning problems preparing them for Kindergarten or special education classes. \ She was a long time member of Grapevine Baptist Church then moved to Louisville two years ago to be close to her daughter. There she attended New Life Church when able. \ She is survived by one son, John (Benita) Bruce of Greenville KY; one daughter, Debbie (Carroll) Parish of Louisville KY; four grandchildren: Robin Bruce of Bowling Green KY; Tanner Bruce, Tim (Marlene) Parish, Paul (Mitsi) Parish all of Louisville KY; seven great grandsons and one great granddaughter all of Louisville. \ Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, April 5, 2010 at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Carroll Parish and Rev. Tim Parrish officiating. \ Burial will follow in Union Cemetery in Nebo, KY. \ Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the service time on Monday, April 5, 2010 at the funeral home. \ In lieu of flowers gifts may be made to New Life Church Building Fund, 3402 Goose Creek Rd, Louisville KY 40241 \
