Mary Elizabeth Furgerson

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Bishop Furgerson, 96, of Dawson Springs, KY, died at 11:38 P.M. Monday, September 12, 2005, at Tradewater Pointe in Dawson Springs. \ She was born December 27, 1908 in White Plains, KY to Joe Bishop and Stella Skaggs Bishop. She was also preceded in death by her husband, B. R. Furgerson April 7, 1975 and one daughter, Elizabeth Purdy in April 15, 1989. \ Mrs. Furgerson was a lifetime member of the Dawson Springs First United Methodist Church. \ Surviving are one son, Joe Furgerson of Dawson Springs; one grandson, David Purdy of Dawson Springs; six granddaughters, Patty Furgerson Morris of Lexington, KY, Peggy Furgerson of St. Louis, MO, Lisa Purdy Baker of Dawson Springs, Penny Furgerson Crick of St. Charles, KY, Phyllis Furgerson Eli of Madisonville and Pam Furgerson Kolze of Georgetown, KY; twelve Great Grandchildren and four Great-great Grandchildren. \ Graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 15, 2005, at Rosedale Cemetery in Dawson Springs with Bro. Steve McVay and Bro. Jeff Graham officiating. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery. \ Barnett-Strother Funeral Home in Madisonville, KY is in charge of the service. \ Memorials may take the form of donations to Dawson Springs First United Methodist Church.
