Mary Sue Hall Hicks

Mrs. Mary Sue Hall Hicks, 83, of Hanson, KY passed away at 10:50 P.M., Saturday, May 30, 2009 at Ridgewood Terrace Nursing Home in Madisonville. \ She was born April 3, 1926 in Cuyahoga Falls, OH to the late Leslie Frank Hall and Oma Mae Ferguson Hall. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Earnest W. Hicks in 1996 and one daughter, Phyllis Hicks. \ Mrs. Hicks was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. \ She is survived by four daughters, Sandra (Daniel) Pendley of Hanson, Kathy (Mike) Milican of Taylor, MI, Donna (Bruce) Ferrell of Madisonville and Beverly (Thomas) Spears of Hanson; one son, Les (Kay) Hicks of Murfreesboro, TN; one brother, Melvin (Mary Ruth) Hall of Madisonville, TN; eleven grandchildren, Tonya Hicks, James Hicks, Daryl Pendley, Tammy Loftis, Jerome Shorkey, Shawnette Kuchta, Bradley Pendley, Christopher Williams, Nicholas Williams, Heather Skinner and Rachel Spears; twenty-two great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. \ Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Marvin Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville. \ Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday and after 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday at the funeral Home. \ Pallbearers will be Christopher Williams, Bradley Pendley, Daryl Pendley, Jerome Shorkey, Jerry Shorkey and Sheldon Setser. Honorary pallbearers will be Tyler Skinner, Quincy Loftis and Nicholas Williams who is currently serving in Iraq. \ Memorial Contributions may take the form of donation to the Bethany Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \
