Mary Elizabeth Higdon

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Higdon, 88, of Madisonville, KY, died at 7:15 P.M. Thursday, April 20, 2006, at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville. \ Born September 28, 1917 in Kuttawa, KY. She was the daughter of Mark Malloy Sexton and Effie Boughter Sexton. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Ida Lou Kennedy and one brother, A. K. Sexton. \ Mrs. Higdon was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Earlington, KY. \ Surviving is her husband Walter Francis Higdon and one son, Jewell Ray Galloway of Madisonville. \ Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, April 24, 2006, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Bruce Fogle officiating. \ Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. \ Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Sunday and from 9:00 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. Monday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home. \ A prayer service will be held at 6:30 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. \ Memorials may take the form of donations to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
