Mary Marks

Jane Liles Marks passed away peacefully on February 10, 2026. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She and H.R. Marks, Jr. were married for 65 years and resided most of those years in Providence, Ky. She was a lifelong member of the First Christian Church and was active in several community and social groups.
She was preceded in death by her parents, E.B and Lola Liles of Poole, KY, and her husband, H.R. Marks, Jr. of Providence, as well as an infant son, Howard Grady Marks, and a grandson, Christopher Grady Marks of Franklin, TN. She is survived by two sons, Stan and Cathy (Snellen) Marks of Franklin, TN, and Colby and Nancy (Nagata) Marks of Versailles, KY. Also surviving are 3 granddaughters, Alex (Marks) and Nathan DeBernardi of Franklin, TN, and Sarah Marks and Bill Jacoby of Nicholasville, Linzay Marks of Lexington, plus 2 great-grandchildren, Adalynn and Roman DeBernardi of Franklin, TN. There are many nieces and nephews surviving as well.
Jane worked for several years at Baynham’s in Providence, and in her later years, she helped her niece at OT’s Café in Dixon. She especially enjoyed the interaction with customers. She lived at Palmer Place in Providence, KY for the last 7+ years and was very fond of their senior community and care.
Visitation and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at The First Christian Church, 601 US Highway 41A S., Providence, KY 42450, with visitation at 1:00 pm followed by the service at 2:00 pm. Burial will be at the church.
