Mary Beth Parris

Mrs. Mary Beth Parris, 98, of Madisonville, KY died at 8:27 A.M. Friday, September 21, 2007, at Ridgewood Terrace Nursing Home in Madisonville, KY. \ Born October 10, 1908 in Hopkins County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Bertram and Margaret Hart Ashmore. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Morris Parris; one daughter, Linda Tomaro; two brothers, Lawrence Ashmore and Ben Ashmore, and one sister, Eunice Harmon. \ Mrs. Parris was a member of Madisonville First Christian Church and the Martha Cayce Circle. She retired from Teaching from Hopkins County Schools after 28 years, was a B.P.W. member, and a member of the retired Teachers Association. \ Surviving are one daughter, Elizabeth Ann Lizzie Patterson of Madisonville, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. \ Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, September 24, 2007, at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Edwards officiating. \ Visitation will be Monday from 12:00 noon until the service time at the funeral home. \ Pallbearers will be William 'Bill' Patterson, Parris Patterson, Jason Patterson, Jimmy Tomaro, Juan Zaragoza, Shawna Patterson and Jamileigh Patterson. \ Memorials may take the form of donations to Madisonville First Christian Church.
