Mary Defer Petri

Mary Defer Petri, 76, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 10:15 A.M., Saturday, September 10, 2011, at NHC Healthcare in Madisonville. \ She was born February 4, 1935, in Warren, MI to the late Elmer Defer and Orielda Karpp Defer. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jacob Petri Sr. \ Mrs. Petri was of the Catholic faith. \ She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Ray (Mark) Merrell of Manington, KY, and Linda Bishop of Spring Hill, TN; two sons, Lawrence Campbell of Cadiz, KY, and Rev. Jacob Thomas Petri, O.P. of Providence, RI, formerly of Madisonville; three sisters, Karen Buccilli of Southfield, MI, Ellen Nemes of Jenison, MI, and Lorrayne Defer of St. Clair Shores, MI; one brother, David Defer of Marine City, MI; four step children, Michael Petri of Madisonville, James and George Petri of Kingsley, MI and Ina Ott of Kingsley; two grandchildren, Richard Bishop of Toronto, Canada, and Jason Merrell of Mannington, KY; and two great grandchildren, Damian and Sophia Merrell. \ Funeral service will be 1:30 P.M., Thursday, September 15, 2011, at Christ the King Catholic Church with Rev. Jacob Thomas Petri, O.P. officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Madisonville. \ Visitation will be 12:00 P.M. until the service hour on Thursday at Christ the King Catholic Church. \ Memorial contributions will be made in the form of mass offerings at Christ the King Catholic Church. \
