Mary Belle Peyton

Mrs. Mary Belle Peyton, 68, of Nebo, KY, died Sunday, January 21, 2007, at 8:15 A.M., at the Regional Medical Center in Madisonville. \ Born August 29, 1938, in Hopkins County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Clara Bell and Walter Joel Bearden. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Frankie Lorene Wyatt of Buffalo, NY. \ She retired from the U. S. Postal Service and attended Rose Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Nebo. She was a member of C. S. Hoffman #211 Order of the Eastern Star in Nebo; Neith Temple #80 Daughters of the Nile in Madisonville; member of the Pennyroyal Nile Club and was also a member of Nebo Homemakers. \ She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Robert Wayne Peyton of Nebo; her mother-in-law, Lillian Mae Cates Peyton of Providence, KY; two daughters, Patricia Annette Peyton Riggs and Jayn Peyton Morgan, both of Nebo; two sisters, Mrs. Gene (Anna) Reid and Mrs. Betty Jo Phillips, both of Madisonville; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. \ Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 24, 2007, at 2:00 P.M., at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Stone and Bro. Billy Neal Parrish officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery in Nebo. \ Visitation will be Tuesday, January 23, 2007, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with an Eastern Star service at 7:00 P.M. Visitation on Wednesday from noon until the service time at the funeral home. \ Pallbearers will be Michael L. Morgan II, Jared A. Morgan, Dustin W.P. Riggs, Walter R. Jackson, Brad D. Peyton and Steve Pleasant. Melissa Riggs will be an honorary pallbearer. \ Memorials may take the form of donations to C. S. Hoffman #211 Order of Eastern Star in Nebo.
