Mary "Mammie" Scott

Mary "Mammie" Scott, 94 of Madisonville, KY passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Baptist Health in Madisonville.
She was born August 14, 1926 in Hopkins Co., KY to the late John Cantrell and Jessie Chappell Cantrell. She was also preceded in death two sisters, Margaret Cargill and Opal Becker; two brothers, J.D. Cantrell and Arnold Cantrell; one daughter, Linda Williams; and one grandson, Charlie Williams.
She was a member of the Hanson Baptist Church. She worked for over 27 years at Golden Glaze. She loved to cook, gardening, and spending time with his family.
She is survived by four daughters, Tennie Brown of Madisonville, Sherry (Mark) Bruce of Madisonville; Nelda Hopper of Madisonville, and Dana Lynn of Madisonville; one brother, Kenneth (Dorothy) Cantrell of Evansville, IN; nine grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held privately with the family on Monday, December 21, 2020 at Barnett-Strother Funeral home with Rev. Bobby Todd and George Pointer officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
