Maude Evelyn Gamblin

Mrs. Maude Evelyn Gamblin, 91, of Earlington, KY passed away at 5:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at her daughters residence. \ She was born May 26, 1919 in Madisonville, KY to the late Jesse Brooks and Verde Beshear Brooks. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Durwood Gamblin (1981) and three sisters. \ Mrs. Gamblin was a member of Earlington General Baptist Church in Earlington. \ She is survived by one daughter, Kay Ashby (Art) Kinchen of Madisonville; two sons, Jesse (Joanna) Gamblin of Eddyville, KY and Donnie (Judy) Gamblin of Earlington; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. \ Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, June 25, 2010 at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Phillip Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Earlington. \ Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday and 9:00 A.M. until service time on Friday at the funeral home. \ Pallbearers will be Gary Ashby, Greg Ashby, John Brown, II, Phil Domke, Bill Gamblin, Brandon Ashby, Danny Hartline and Gene Preston. Honorary Pallbearers will be Garth Gamblin, Sierra Ashby, Lindsay Ashby, Stacey Ashby, Deanna Brown, Debbi Domke, Micah Brown, Jordan Ashby and Briley Ashby. \ Memorial donations may be made to Green River Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
