Nell Moore Russell

Nell Moore Russell, 84, of Madisonville, KY passed away Monday, February 15, 2016 at Ridgewood Terrace in Madisonville.
Mrs. Russell was born March 15, 1931 in Charleston, KY to the late Otho Farar and Gertrude Martin Farar. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, JT Moore and second husband, James O. Russell; a brother, J.D. Farar and a grandson, John Moore, Jr.
Nell was a Kentucky Colonel and a member of the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church in Madisonville.
She is survived by two daughters, Judy (Ted) Shatterfield of Corbin, KY and Susan (Joe) Marcum of Franklin, KY; three sons, Johnny W. (Janet) Moore of Madisonville, Tommy J. Moore of Dawson Springs, and James A. (Kathy) Moore of Newburgh, IN; three sisters, Doris Bell of St. Charles, KY, Ruth Guetzow of Chicago, IL, and Caro Priebe of Alaska; four brothers, Ray Farar of Arizona, Donald Farar of Elizabethtown, KY, Raleigh Farar of Charleston, and Niles Farar of New York City, NY; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, February 18, 2015 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Jeremy Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery in Dawson Springs.
Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday and 9:00 A.M. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Joshua Moore, Dan Pullin, Tommy Moore, and Danny Alvey.
