Nora Lou Howton Ratliff

Nora Lou Howton Ratliff, 90, of Madisonville, KY, passed away Monday, March 26, 2018 at Baptist Health Madisonville.
She was born March 25, 1928 in Hopkins Co., KY near Silent Run. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James D. Ratliff; one son, Darrel Kent Ratliff; one sister; and four brothers.
Mrs. Ratliff was a member of the First Christian Church in Madisonville. She was a Kentucky Colonel and a lifetime member of the VFW #5480 ladies auxiliary. She retired from Old National, formerly Farmers Bank and she enjoyed sewing, quilting, crafting, and investing in the stock market. She was an avid UK fan as well as enjoyed horse races.
She is survived by one daughter, Linda Lou (Michael) Gantt of Franklin, TN; three grandchildren, Gabriel Baxter Gantt, Rebecca Lynn (Stephen) Wood, and Christopher Michael Gantt all of Franklin; two great grandchildren, Tristan James Wood and Nathan Vincent Wood; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 30, 2018 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Kara Foster officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Madisonville.
Visitation will be 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Michael Gantt, Gabriel Gantt, Christopher Gantt, Stephen Wood, and Daniel Riggs.
Memorial contributions can be made to First Christian Church Building Fund, First Christian Church Women's Ministry or to Norton's Children's Hospital. Envelopes will be made available at the funeral home.
