Norma Ruth Foster

Mrs. Norma Ruth Foster, 73, of Madisonville, KY, formerly of Memphis, TN died at 3:20 P.M. Monday, December 29, 2003, at Ridgewood Terrace in Madisonville. \ Born May 12, 1930 in Memphis, TN she was the daughter of the late Samuel Lee Maxey and Ethel Iona Kelly Maxey. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Herbert W. Foster in 1998 and three sisters, Sadie Brown, Juanita Langston and Ruby Brownstein. \ Mrs. Foster was a graduate of the Miss Mathes High School, the St. Joseph School of Nursing and Sienna College, BS Degree, all of Memphis. She was a member of the First Church of God in Madisonville; a member of the American Red Cross and Footlight Players Theatre. \ She is survived by one son, Herbert Pembroke Foster of Hopkinsville, KY; one daughter, Heather Camille Foster of Antioch, TN; two sisters, Gertrude Grashot of Brownsville, TN and Helen Whitehead of Memphis and two grandchildren. \ Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 31, 2003 at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Bob White officiating. Burial will follow in the Odd Fellows Cemetery. \ Friends may call from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday and after 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday at the funeral home. \ \ \
