Oather Duncan Jr. Obituary (1935 - 2016)

Oather Duncan, Jr., 81, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. Mr. Duncan was born February 10, 1935 in Henderson, KY to the late Oather Duncan Sr. and Luella Hayden Duncan. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Collins Duncan, two brothers, Arnold and Winford Duncan, and two sisters, Charlotte and Rita Duncan. Mr. Duncan was a charter member of Covenant Community Church. He was the owner and operator of Quality Roofing Company and was an avid fisherman and chef. He is survived by one daughter, Tammy (Charlie) Young of Hanson, KY; one son, Steven (Kim) Duncan of Madisonville; three sisters, Della Garrison of Madisonville, Shirley (Larry) Wilson of Calhoun, KY and Wanda (Levi) Knight of Madisonville and two grandchildren, Cecily (Jeremy) Harris and Austin Young. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday October 18, 2016 with Dr. Michael Knight officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until; 7:00 P.M. Monday and after 9:00 A.M. Tuesday until the service time at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Covenant Care @ Covenant Community Church in Madisonville. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
